Plant description
Epidendrum ibaguense is an easy to grow epiphytic orchid with reed-like stems, leathery leaves, and bright, showy flowers in a range of colours, from red, orange, yellow and pink. They flower in all months of the year, and will bring colour to the garden in the colder months. They are a hardy orchid, needing little attention. They like a frost free climate, and will do well in a sunny to part shaded position. Grow in pots, as well as in the garden, where they will quickly spread into a massed clump. Fertilise through the warmer months to improve flowering.
Propagation is from division of the plant, or from small plantlets that grow on the stems.
